- Paid sick leave starts after 3 months with your employer, with a medical certificate from a doctor your employer accepts.
- Each year: the first 2 weeks at full pay, the next 4 weeks at half pay, then unpaid leave.
- Your employer can't dismiss you while you're on sick leave. After 12 weeks off sick, the contract may be ended if a doctor confirms you can't work.
